Dental Implant

As we know we are not getting another set of teeth after our permanent teeth, therefor dental implants are becoming more and more routine dentistry for our mature community. A dental implant can be thought of as an artificial tooth root that is submerged into the jawbone. When dental work such as a crown, fixed bridge or a full set of dentures is added, one or more missing teeth can be replaced. A dental implant is fabricated from a very strong, biocompatible material placed in a simple procedure that, generally, is simpler than a tooth extraction. After an initial healing period, during which the implant is buried in bone and left undisturbed under gum tissue, it is uncovered and connected to a small metal post that secures and supports the artificial tooth.

Dr Nourozi has an extensive training in dental implants from Sydney University and can help our senior community with different treatment options. Dental implants are not extremely  expensive, specially as the total treatment time is usually over a few months and the payments will break into instalments during this period. Usually people with lower full denture find it very hard to function and chew. did you know the treatment is very simple for lower denture. We can place 2 implant in the lower jaw and click your denture into it. For upper jaw the treatment is usually more advanced as we need at least 4 implants.

Book your appointment with dr Nourozi for minimal cost consult and find out about your options!

The implant material is extremely biocompatible. The bone grows to the implant and bonds to it. This makes the implant very strong. The process is called 'osseointegration'.

Dental implants are today’s best alternative to natural teeth because they are permanent, they do not move, they only take up the space of the tooth/teeth you are replacing and you can bite as hard as you would with normal teeth.

What are the risks?

As implant dentistry requires surgery, it comes with common surgery risks such as infection, post operative pain and trauma. There is also the risk of damage to the anatomical structure or the implant can fail to integrate with the body. Your choice of implant surgeon is critical. Even the best surgeons worldwide get failures but experienced and skilled ones have drastically better outcomes.

How we minimise the risks

Skill & experience
Dr Nourozi started his training in implants since 2008. In 2011 he was selected to advance his skills with Sydney university . The Diploma of Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants) was a 2 year dedicated program but the learning training is ongoing

Careful and gentle surgical technique
This is carried out as a full hospital standard sterile protocol with everyone in surgical clothes including you!

Your implant choice
We select your implant based on proven quality & reliability, rather than cost. Studies have shown this choice alone reduces failures.

A high quality tooth connected to your implant
So you have your new tooth. Now how long is it going to last? 1 year or 30? Quality of the materials, fit of the connection to your implant and design all contribute to the longevity, success and comfort and cosmetic appearance. This needs to be worked out before the implant was placed.

Caring for your implant
We have a dedicated maintenance program to ensure nothing goes wrong due to lack of care or skill on your behalf at home.

Dental Implant Supported Crown

If you are missing a single tooth, one implant and a crown can replace it. A dental implant replaces both the lost natural tooth and its root.

Dental Implant Supported Bridge

An Implant-supported bridge is a dental prosthesis supported by one or more implants replacing three or more teeth. We try our best to make the bridge looks as natural as possible. for example some times we stain the teeth like a natural tooth. Please see the picture below.

Replacing dentures

Patients who are missing all of their teeth in one or both jaws now can have a new lease on life.

After prior diagnostic studies and planning, we can replace your loose, unstable removable denture with a variety of totally solid teeth that are anchored in place by implants embedded in your jaw bone.

The benefits are many and the changes dramatic.

You can chew all food types without fear. Yes, all!

You will have total confidence in all social environments, with no fear your teeth will fall out.

Your speech will improve, be sharper and crisper because the teeth are firm.

All these things result in more confidence, a better quality of life at a deep and personal level, so you get so much more than a new set of teeth!

Dental Implant Supported Overdenture

After teeth have been lost, the part of jaw bones supporting the teeth starts shrinking. If you have a denture replacing the missing teeth, after several years the denture will become loose due to bone shrinking.

An implant-supported denture snaps onto attachments on the implants, providing better retention and stability.
